And while we’re talking about groomers: rocker can make skiing any terrain more fun. By decreasing the effective edge of a ski, the results are smoother and more maneuverable. Also, rocker makes skis with a deep sidecut easier to ski by eliminating problems with catchiness in the tip and tail: because the tip isn’t fully engaged with the snow, these skis are less likely to act “squirrely.”
